FAQ
Does it work with paraphrased verses?
Yes. Semantic matching recognises a verse by meaning, so you don't have to quote it word-for-word or give the reference.
Do I need to install anything?
No — Scrivent runs in your browser. The desktop app is optional and adds projector (External Display) and NDI outputs.
How fast does a verse appear?
Typically under two seconds from when you speak it to when it's on screen.
Which translations are supported?
18 English translations, including the KJV and modern-English options such as the Berean Standard Bible and Free Bible Version, plus 16 Bibles in African and European languages. Copyrighted translations like the NIV, NLT and ESV need a paid publisher licence and aren't included.
Can two people operate the same service?
Yes. Multiple operators can join the same session; mode and display changes sync between them.
Does it cost anything?
No. Scrivent is free for every church, with no trial, no time limit and no card. Everything is included, from unlimited transcription to projector and NDI output.
