Church media team checklist for Sunday service
Most Sunday screen problems are not hard — they are forgotten. Print this, or keep it on your phone.
Saturday (or the night before)
- Get the sermon topic, anchor scripture and prayer points from the pastor, and load them into the Sermon Sheet.
- Charge the laptop and any wireless mic batteries.
- Check the hotspot or church internet has data.
One hour before service
- Connect the laptop to the projector or TV and confirm the display opens full screen on it.
- Connect the pastor’s mic feed to the laptop and check the level meter moves when someone speaks into it.
- Run Scrivent’s Ready for Sunday check: mic heard, verse detected, display connected.
- If you livestream: open OBS, check the camera, and push a test verse to see the overlay.
- Put the welcome or logo slide on screen.
During service
- Press Start on the mic before the sermon begins, and leave it running.
- New to it? Use Manual mode: verses wait in Preview and you approve each one.
- Show the topic and points from the Sermon Sheet as the pastor reaches them.
- Clear the screen (Blank) during prayer or ministration if your church prefers.
After service
- Stop the mic.
- Press Prepare recap & clips, check the draft, and share the recap link in the church WhatsApp group.
- Share one or two short clips on status.
- Note anything that went wrong, so it is fixed before next Sunday.
